It was a long time ago that I was in Kindegarten, but I believe that I learned how to color in the lines :)

Oh kindergarten – how I miss those days. Let’s see…. I learned how to pray, I learned how to nap after lunch without complaint or the “sisters” would get after you with a ruler and I learned that best friends are never forgotten. Although kindergarten was 30+ years ago, I will never forget my first school friend – Haley.

  3. Jeni Trimmer says:

I don’t exactly remember what I learned in K BUT I used to be a counselor for a musical theatre camp for kids in my home city in MD. And we put this production on twice so it really means a lot to me.

  4. Rachael says:

It’s been a while for me too, but I believe I learned how to read. :)

  5. Meredith says:

I also spent a month in Kindergarten since my devoted father taught me to read and write during my first 5 years of life and I was promoted to first grade after only a month. He passed away the December before I started kindergarten. I learned more than I ever wished to learn in the month that I was in Kindergarten (including the short time that led to it and the following 25 years that followed) about starting your children off on a solid foundation and a love for learning. My father never got to see return on his investment in starting me off right, but I think he knows…

  6. Tamara says:

    I learned to share.

  7. Leslie says:

I thought I had already commented but I don’t see it… in kindergarten I learned how to pray with my friends and that best friends made in kindergarten are never really forgotten. Thanks to the nuns at St. Paul’s for those lessons.

  8. Jennifer says:

I learned that talking too much will get you a ruler across the knuckles…OUCH!

  9. Andrea says:

I learned that nap time should be a required course in all grade levels!!

  10. Amanda Simon says:

In kindergarten I learned to read… I was in a private school. Oh and I learned that the golden rule applied to everyone outside of church too :)

That I could be anything I wanted when I grew up!

  12. Kallie Bates says:

I learned that you don’t let boys talk you into doing anything b/c most likely it would lead to trouble, lol! I also remember getting to be the letter “M” in the kindergarten program and playing “Duck, Duck, Goose!”

  13. Bobbie Deemer says:

I learned to SHARE! Not all children are as fortunate as others and the friends you make in kindergarten are gonna be your friends till the end!

  14. Heather says:

I learned that you can’t really “officially” get married in Kindergarten. Our class staged a Wedding between two classmates, and I swore to my parents those two were married….going to have kids…and live happily ever after! Alas, the bride moved away prior to 1st grade and broke the groom’s heart! (Not to mention ALL that I believed!) :)

  15. cindy says:

don”t suck your thumb in kindergarten

  16. Leslie H says:

How to pray, how to care and how to make best friends who you remember forever.

  17. Bree Tinch says:

I learned to sit quitely and listen when the teacher was talking. Now if only my kids could do that
