Zoodles-A Giveaway

When I was contacted by Danae to do a review and giveaway for this product, I was at first very apprehensive because not only did I have to download their product onto my computer, but it involved letting my children play on their program, something I knew nothing about. And as a parent you know that being cautious about what your child views on the internet is crucial.

However, I decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did.

Zoodles scours the web to find the best educational content out there (games, puzzles, and videos) and puts it all in one place, presenting it to kids in a safe, simple web browser that adapts to your child’s age and skill level.  What this means is that a 3 year old would get games teaching shapes and numbers, letter recognition, attention and listening, and much more!  A 5 year old would get games teaching early reading & addition, creativity and exploration, etc.  All this learning is wrapped in engaging play that features some of their favorite characters!

The Zoodles browser is always free for kids to play, but for parents who want more control over their child’s experience, Zoodles also offers a paid Premium Membership.  With Premium Membership, parents can set play time limits, block ads, promote certain subjects to their child, and block unwanted sites and shows….A HUGE PLUS IN MY BOOK!!!  They can also get great information about what their child has been playing – from the skills he or she has been building, to the sites he’s been visiting, to how much time he or she’s spent playing specific games.

Wondering if it’s easy for your children to use? Absolutely!!!

Both my 4yo and 6yo play on it daily and I never have to assist them in opening the program, logging in, or finding games/activities. Logging in is simple. You simply click on the icon on your desktop then you are taken to the accounts page. Each child’s account is identified by their very own picture. SUPER EASY, right? Once your child logs in, they are taken to their very own, customized playground. Below is a picture of both my 4 yo and 6 yo’s account. You will notice that my 4 yo’s account contains things that will help her learn the basics, as well as some fun and safe games. With my 6yo, you will notice that his has subjects like Math, Science, and Reading.

Zoodles is screened by experts, restricted  to safe white-list, and protected from ads.

My favorite part is the parent’s dashboard. There you are able to see what your kids are playing, promote subjects, see what theyare playing, and control their experience. You can see any new characters they met, their favorite topics, and how long they spent on each subject. The best part of the parent dashboard is the time controls. By logging onto your profile at www.zoodles.com/parent, you can easily control how long each child spends online each day and you have the ability to change the length of time each child is allowed at all times. Don’t like a character your child has been viewing? Block it. Know of a website your child likes to play on or a character like Dora or Blues Clues that they love, add it.

As you can see, Zoodles is completely customizable and safe for your children to use. Plus it gives you, the parent, complete control over your child’s experience. Thus, giving you the peace of mind you need while allowing your children to enjoy the internet as well. It’s a win-win situation.

I love zoodles! My son is actually sitting beside me waiting for me to get done so he can play. My favorite thing about zoodles is how it personalizes the games based on the age of the child. My four year old gets to learn his basics in numbers and letters(just to name a few things). And my one year old can color and play peek a boo.

I’ve never heard of Zoodles before, but I’m definitely impressed with what I saw. I love how you can customize a page for each child based on their age and what they need to focus on. What a great idea! I would love to try this with my two year old. He always wants to play with mommy’s computer but this way he can play and learn in a safe way.

I love that you can customize a page for each child based on age and what they need to work on. My two year old loves to play on the computer. This way he could do it safely and learn at the same time. What a great idea!

Our favorite feature on zoodles is that it caters to the individual child. It also has a friendly interface for my 4 year olds.

I love that I can separate things out for my 2 children. They both have different interests and I can set it up just for their age groups!

I have never heard of this until I saw it here. I think it looks great. My two (4 yr old b/g twins) do not use my computer yet and i think this would be a great way to introduce them (without the fear of them getting into and deleting any of my files).

I also have twin 4 year olds (both girls) and they love it! I can let them play without worrying about them at all.
