Wow, just wow!
This is what living in a community is all about!
March 31
3RD ANNUAL HOMESCHOOLERS’
EGG HUNT AND MUCH MORE!!!
Starts at Noon!!!!
K-&-under — egg hunt starting at 1:00pm
1st-5th — egg hunt starting at 1:45pm
6th-&-up — egg-n-spoon relay * starting at 2:30 pm
Also, for those interested, the Everest-sponsored iServe service club will be holding the following activity at the event. This would be a great activity for the older kids to help set up while the younger kids are hunting eggs, then we can all pitch in for a few minutes to complete the baskets!
If you would like to help Hands on B’ham, please bring kids’ toiletries, crayons, coloring books, individually wrapped candy and other fun stuff to help fill Easter baskets (already provided) for displaced children in the Birmingham area. We also already have the Easter grass for the baskets, but we REALLY need 50 cellophane gift bags to wrap them in as Hands On Birmingham will not accept them unless they are secured this way! They must be delivered as soon as we are done as the cut-off is March 31! Peter Cottontail needs our help, let’s not let him down! Need more info? Please contact iServe adviser Clarissa Winchester at clarissaalphaxidelta@yahoo.com or at 908-5880.Lisa Grace Photography will be at the Easter Egg Hunt doing candids of the events and family photography sessions. Poses will be done using the bridges and natural landscape. Mini-sessions are $40 per family (up to 3 kids, a little more per extra). That will give them 6-12 edited, print ready photos on CD within 2 weeks (will get contact info). These will be professional quality/poses.

a dish to share for PotLuck Lunch
drinks for your family

EGG HUNT DETAILS: This year, to help with coordination, a few parents and myself will be handling all of the eggs for this year’s egg hunt. All eggs will be stuffed with candy or other small toys and hidden before families arrive for our Easter Lunch and Egg Hunt. To help cover some of the costs of the eggs, goodies, and prize money for the golden and silver eggs in each age group, we are asking for $1.00 per participating child. To help keep the hunt fair, we will divide the number of eggs by the number of kids signed-up before the hunt begins to determine how many eggs each child should find. We ask that parents please help ensure that their child(ren) only collect the number of eggs announced until everyone has had a chance to hunt.
We will hold a “sign-up” when families arrive at noon to collect the $1.00 and to divide kids into age groups; however, it would be extremely helpful for those planning to attend to sign-up ahead of time if possible. Please email Briana at self-educated@earthlink.net to sign-up ahead of time or you can also go ahead and send $1.00/child through PayPal using this same email address. Please be sure to include your child(ren)’s first name and age with your sign-up email or in the comment area of your PayPal payment.
ADDITIONAL REQUESTS:
**We need 3-4 adults to volunteer to arrive at 11:00am to help hide eggs. One adult can supervise the kids playing in a different area of the park while we hide eggs, so it won’t ruin the egg hunt for those kids! Please email me if you can help with hiding: self-educated@earthlink.net.
**Also, please consider helping out for next year’s egg hunt by making a small additional donation, as well as by emptying your candy/toys from your eggs into your baskets before you leave in order to donate the eggs toward next year’s hunt.
PARK DETAILS:
This park is great for families with children of all ages with plenty for older kids to do.
Please keep in mind there is only a port-o-let restroom and no running water for hand-washing (might want to bring hand-wipes).
