Special Women’s Health Episodes on The Dr.Oz Show next week!
As you already know, this month we are putting special emphasis on Health and Wellness issues. So when I got contacted by the Dr. Oz Show to share information about next week’s episodes (which happen to be about health and wellness for women), I jumped at the chance.
On Monday, January 11th
Dr. Oz talks about the critical vitamins every woman needs. With the help of the assistant of the day, Sharon, Dr. Oz creates a vitamin checklist and a cost-analysis to help women stay healthy. Later in the same show, Dr. Oz plays a game called “Food Private-Eye” where an audience member smells the arms of thee different people who have been on different diets to see if he can detect the odor of the food. Turns out, you are what you eat!
On Tuesday January 12th
Dr. Oz explores a new weight lost technique to battle obesity – HYPNOSIS. Dr. Paul McKenna, PhD hypnotist, explains how to re-program your mind to not crave certain foods. His 4 golden rules are:
1. when you’re hungry, eat
2. Eat what you want, not what you think you should eat
3. Eat consciously
4. When you think you are full, stop.
At the end of the show, 25 audience members with a combined weight of 6431 pounds started their hypnosis treatment with Dr. McKenna. Results to air in a couple of weeks!
In the same episode, Dr. Oz pays special attention to children’s health. With the help of nine year old audience member, Serena, he reveals two secrets to keeping kids healthy. What are they? Tonsils and ear infections! Dr. Oz shows Serena tonsil and ear models to explains to her what can happen that might make her feel sick.
On Friday, January 15th
Dr. Oz shares the secrets to anti-aging. Audience members asked about what foods keep you looking young and how to live a lifestyle that will let you live longer. In addition, Dr. Oz reveals the single smartest thing that woman can do to prevent aging – eat blueberries!
Sounds like next week will be full of helpful information for all of us who are trying to get healthier in 2010. I know I’ll be watching, will you?
